Half-Day
JUNGLE TREK IN BUKIT LAWANG
This is not a “quick jungle visit.” It is a shorter route, but still a genuine step into the jungle experience. You spend your trek at the entrance area of Gunung Leuser National Park. Your guide explains rubber production, rainforest plants and local wildlife along the way.
Sometimes you see a lot and other times very little, that unpredictability is part of what makes the jungle real. Thomas leaf monkeys and pig-tailed macaques are often spotted in this area and occasionally orangutans move through the forest edges.
Midway through the trek, you pause for fresh tropical fruit before descending toward the Bahorok River.
Most groups return by river tubing along the Bahorok River, a relaxed and fun way to end the experience, although walking back is always possible if preferred.
